National Anthem at the MSU Game

I had the incredible honor of singing the National Anthem at the Boys and Girls Basketball games at MSU this past weekend. Singing the National Anthem at an event is something I have always wanted to do but was too scared to do it. I finally faced that fear and I enjoyed every second of it!! Afterwards, I was asked to sing at a hockey game in the future! I am so excited to bring my love of singing into my year of service and I can't wait to sing at future MSU games!!

Monroe Elementary

 "Miss Lauren, I made you a snowflake!"....."Are you a real princess? Did they send you here from Disney?"...."...You need to get hitched!"....These are just some of the things the 1st Graders at Monroe Elementary asked me or told me!! I couldn't help but smile :)

I had the honor of volunteering at Monroe Elementary for 2 days last week. I was able to help students with math stations, reading tests, and arts and crafts. I met so many amazing kids who are incredibly wise beyond their years! It was an absolute pleasure going into their school and getting a sense of the talent and intelligence this school is bringing into our world. These kids were so bright, determined, and eager to learn as much as they can. Monroe Elementary offers an amazing staff to assist these students in their educational journey and I'm so grateful that I was able to join them!
